Yorkshire Bowling Association

Unified in 2010

Need new members?

Yorkshire Bowls Partnership has been formed for the sole purpose of promoting the Sport of Bowls in Yorkshire and adding members to existing clubs.

We consist of members from Outdoor Flat Green, Indoor, Crown Green and Short Mat bowlers who work together to achieve defined targets.

YBP has been fully approved by the County Associations of each code and passed the requirements of Sport England.

Sport England funding has enabled us to set up four marketing units in Yorkshire.
Each unit has an exhibition stand, TV monitor, sets of demonstration bowls and demonstration carpets to be utilised at a range of fetes, showgrounds, schools, business premises and other venues in each area.

Volunteer members from all codes will inviite members of the public of both genders and all ages to discuss bowls, try the game on site and then be encouraged to attend a club and code of their choice where coaching and further guidance will be arranged.

We urge any reader who wishes to make use of our free services or to become involved in his/her home area to get in touch.

This is an opportunity to put some fun and fellowship into our sport, meet bowlers from other codes and try to make new bowlers welcome.

The touring party will consisit of 36 men plus ladies. Five matches have been arranged with one against Bowls Cumbria! The headquarters will be the Crown and Mitre Hotel, Carlisle.
